Safety is a core value that clients notice when walking through our project sites or speaking with our Superintendents. Safety is a condition of employment and is a paramount aspect of our job. We devote significant attention to safety because it is an investment, not a cost. We will never put profit ahead of the safety and well-being of our employees, subcontractors, and clients.
McDonald York’s premier safety program is a result of management’s commitment to safety through visible leadership, engaging employees at all levels, empowering employees to address safety concerns, and utilizing the most sophisticated, user-friendly software to share safety data in real-time with all team members. We partner with subcontractors who share our safety values and visibly demonstrate those values every day.
Procore’s® Platform allows us to manage and distribute our written EHS programs, procedures, and forms from any location. Our teams can easily access the information they need in real-time and on any device. This means greater teamwork, better communication, and a safer job.
McDonald York has been a proud member of the North Carolina Department of Labor (NCDOL) Building Star Program since 2004. The program recognizes the outstanding safety performance of companies that maintain a safe construction workplace. Management’s commitment to prevention and training methods, allows us to continue our high safety performance standards. McDonald York was proud to receive the NCDOL One Million Safe Man Hours Award, recognizing that we have had no injuries or illnesses involving lost workdays from 1/15/2010 to 12/31/2021.
