McDonald York Building Company Announces Two Promotions

Cary Lail has been promoted to Senior Vice President. Beginning his professional journey with McDonald York after college in 1997, Cary climbed through the ranks to his present position. With over 27 years in commercial construction, Cary is known for his collaborative spirit, passion for building, and generating beneficial ideas and solutions. He leads McDonald York’s superintendents and foremen and serves as Project Executive overseeing some of McDonald York’s largest and most challenging projects. Cary holds a General Contractor license in North Carolina, an EIT Certification in Civil Engineering, and is a LEED Accredited Professional. He is also a Leadership Raleigh Class 24 alumnus and earned his Civil Engineering – Construction Option degree from North Carolina State University’s College of Engineering.

Kellie Renzi has been promoted to Vice President, Preconstruction and Marketing. Kellie began her career at McDonald York as an Estimating Intern in 2012 after earning a Master’s of Civil Engineering Degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Engineering and Management from North Carolina State University. Her dedication to the company and successful track record has afforded her the opportunity to advance into leadership roles. In 2016, she was named Director of Preconstruction and Estimating. In her current capacity, Kellie oversees preconstruction services, estimating, marketing, and as part of the leadership team, she is instrumental in helping chart the company’s strategic roadmap. Kellie also contributes actively to industry leadership, including involvement with the IFMA Greater Triangle Chapter where she currently serves on the board after serving as president.
