Originally from Oxford, NC, Jim Crews first job was working with his father on the farm. He would help out with everything from driving tractors to priming tobacco, repairing broken down equipment to building fences. He says that he enjoyed the small town feel of Oxford but also liked being close enough to Raleigh to have the luxuries that a big city provides. In 2011 he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Construction Management. He brings 6 years of construction experience to McDonald York. His favorite part about working in the industry is the new opportunities and challenges that each day brings. As he puts it, "it's not the same repetitive activities every day." When he's not at work, Jim likes to spend time with his son and watch sports.
